Birthday Glitter***

An image from Robin Pickens colored with Copics and "True Red" ultra fine glitter put on the cake.

The image and background scallop were cut out using nestabilities and a few rhinestones were placed on either side of the cake image.

Sure & constant whining...

...will get you what you want, ha! Another fun Emerson lady, assuring us that you can get anything you want if you just keep whining! I've colored her with Copics and added fun little black pearls to her chair and a green rhinestone to her hat for a little fun and to draw extra attention to the image. Hopefully the black photo corners pull your eye to the image as well. A big bow and button along with some old sheet music round out the other fun elements to this design. You can check out this image along with the other ladies illustrated by Emerson Quillin at American Art Stamp. Here's a full view:

Believe

The image and sentiment are from the Winter Wonderland cling mounted set. Paper is Eskimo Kisses by BasicGrey. I colored with Copics and sponged the edges of the image and sentiment. I added two punched snowflakes to the snowflake in the stamped image, then I applied Icicle Stickles to all of them. The centers are pink crystals.

Enjoy! :)

Oh No.... not SNOW!

We have snow in the forecast tomorrow so I figured I'd get a jump start on it with this "let it snow" card.  I used a Karen Stolper stamp called "tiny snowman" for the main image and combined it with holiday paper from Cosmo Cricket.

Thanks for looking!

Can't scare a teacher!

I love this one because, although I'm not a classroom teacher, I work for a school district as a speech pathologist, and I can totally relate! Emerson continually cracks me up with "the ladies", as I like to refer to them. Teacher is stamped on vanilla card stock in Versafine Onyx ink and then embossed with clear embossing powder. Did you know that you can do that with the Versafine ink? I read it somewhere, tried it and it works like a dream. I then colored her scene in with Copics, sponged the edges and embellished with a few staples and a script stamped die cut flower. Be sure to check out all the Emerson Ladies here.
